the road to Finn’s Acre

      the road to Finn's Acre

a slow funked up jazz tune by the Bam Boozle Quintet, a right BBQ of a jam with Bam on the piano, Boa Dubless on bass, Ed Thrums keeping the beat, Ruth Tempet on trumpet and Stephe Hooxan on the sax.

lest we remember

      lest we remember

a trio for violin played by Ruth, double bass played by Boa and piano played by Bam performed in Boozle Hall.

was then it?

      was then it?

a very slow minor blues in B with Art on guitar, Bam on hammond, Boa on double bass and Ed on drums from the “beyond the closed door” sessions.

the Nile

      the Nile

some jazz-funk. The title has nothing to do with a river. There is a tenuous link to Nile Rodgers who is one of my favourite musicians and producers. Featuring alto and tenor saxophones played over a strong rhythm section of bass, drums, guitar and keys.

just one more

      just one more

some rock (and a little reggae) submitted for the following project “…. a new tv series called 3beers that will be broadcast nationally. We can’t tell you too much more about it, but we’re currently seeking some music for our title sequence/intro. We’re looking for something to brand the show, to bring it to life and to make it memorable. We’re looking for a 2 minute track, we don’t want any vocals. We believe we’d like it guitar driven, with a recognisable theme …. ” 60+ other tunes also submitted so unlikely to be the one, but still fun to try for.

one60four

      one60four

a soundtrack to accompany nine minutes and eight seconds of your life. Probably best with headphones to hear the low sounds and little elements that appear and disappear like jetsam & flotsam in an ever moving and tumbling body of water.

so far from us

      so far from us

a slow track featuring Ruth, Stephe and Blue on voices.

a brief time of history

      a brief time of history

an orchestral piece featuring solo cello with the usual mish-mash of noises. A mix of darker, practically funereal moments with loud bits thrown in to wake you up. I’ve undoubtedly “quoted” (nicked) ideas from the composers I listen to but with any luck I’ve disguised them well.

sticking to what we don’t know

sticking to what we don't know

a jazz funk jam driven by Boa Dubless on bass with Ruth on trumpet, Bam on keys, Art on guitar, Ed on drums and Patrick randomly hitting things. Long time a coming.

following from out front

      following from out front

second track from Art Guthie’s “beyond the closed door” series, another messy jam from the echoey Boozle Hall with Bam on Hammond, Art on guitar, Boa on double bass and Ed on drums. Best listened to loud to feel you’re in the hall.
