a slow 2-step track with dubstep, orchestral and industrial elements make for a strange and heavy piece full of glitches and ethereal noises.
a laid back hybrid tune with a reggae feel under Mexican-like horn lines and other surreal moments.
a cheesy jazz-funk tune à la JTQ to get things started. The first offering from audioscapist.
… another jazz-funk tune with a rocky ending for good measure, with guitars, hammonds, horn lines, moog melodies and some funky bass and drums.
a piece of piano music I wrote for my father to play and given to him on his 80th birthday. A very enjoyable process which involved some heavy editing … so I can’t play it all the way through and the recording here is how I imagine it could be played. Click here for a rough score. (A new recording on a new piano with some little changes uploaded 9/03/14).
Bam, Boa, Ed, Ruth and la Faune muck about with a jazz tune and I’m using the last two terms pretty loosely.
some rock (and a little reggae) submitted for the following project “…. a new tv series called 3beers that will be broadcast nationally. We can’t tell you too much more about it, but we’re currently seeking some music for our title sequence/intro. We’re looking for something to brand the show, to bring it to life and to make it memorable. We’re looking for a 2 minute track, we don’t want any vocals. We believe we’d like it guitar driven, with a recognisable theme …. ” 60+ other tunes also submitted so unlikely to be the one, but still fun to try for.
a piece for orchestra with solo piano, violin and oboe with strings and horns. The title came before the piece and I’m not sure whether it played any part in the direction the composition took.
… a little jazz jam with new horn swoggler Stephe Hooxan on tenor saxophone with Bam on piano, Ed on drums and Boa on bass.
a funk soul jam featuring soul sisters Terrie Odabi, Ruth & Stephe on wails, and soul brothers Bam on rhodes, Art on guitar, Ed on drums & Boa on bass.
